Fueron dos encuentros vibrantes, que tuvieron que llegar al chukker suplementario para terminar de definirse tras la paridad en el juego y en el resultado. En el que abri\u00f3 la fecha, El Remanso volvi\u00f3 a sacar pasaje a la final, al igual que en 2017, tras vencer a La Indiana, campe\u00f3n de la Queen\u2019s Cup, por 14 a 13, con gol de x en chukker suplementario. Ya por la tarde, fue el turno de La Bamba de Areco (campe\u00f3n de la Gold Cup por \u00faltima vez en 2009) ante RH Polo. El equipo de Jean Francois Decaux no pudo contar con el lesionado Pelon Stirling, y su lugar fue ocupado por Polito Pieres. RH Polo estuvo al frente pr\u00e1cticamente durante todo el partido.
