El British Open Polo Championship for the Cowdray Gold Cup, el highlight de la temporada en Inglaterra y organizado por Cowdray Park Polo Club, prosigui\u00f3 el lunes 1 de julio<\/strong> con tres encuentros, y en los que hubo triunfos para Gaston, Black Bears y Valhalla.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Gaston, el equipo chileno de Jean-Paul Luskic, obtuvo su segunda victoria en el certamen, esta vez frente a Bangash por 12-8. Si bien el equipo de Haider Bangash se qued\u00f3 con el primer chukker, Gaston tom\u00f3 las riendas a partir del segundo episodio mateniendo el liderazgo durante todo el partido, hasta conseguir el 12-8 final. Es de destacar nuevamente la figura de Cruz Heguy, que anot\u00f3 seis goles.<\/p>\n

En el segundo turno, Black Bears consigui\u00f3 recuperarse de su derrota en el debut frente a King Power, y vencieron a Sujan Indian Tigers por 11-9, tras un partido muy disputado.<\/p>\n

Finalmente, Valhalla, ya una de las grandes sorpresas del alto handicap ingl\u00e9s super\u00f3 nada menos que a Ferne Park por 9-8, tambi\u00e9n en un cotejo en el que ambos equipos no se dieron respiro.<\/p>\n
