Copperline Farm se impuso a Los Machitos El Refugio por 12-8 y fue el campe\u00f3n de la Iglehart Cup, en la final que se desarroll\u00f3 el s\u00e1bado 15 de marzo<\/strong> en Patagones Polo Club. La Iglehart Cup, que cont\u00f3 con la participaci\u00f3n de quince equipos de hasta 16 goles de handicap, forma parte de la NPC 16-goal Championship (Wellington Polo<\/strong> Tour) y cuya gran final est\u00e1 prevista para el <\/strong>domingo 13 de abril,<\/strong> en el National Polo Center (NPC), ubicado en Wellington, Florida, Estados Unidos.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Todo apuntaba a que Los Machitos El Refugio iba a llevarse la Iglehart Cup sin mayores problemas, ya que domin\u00f3 el partido desde el comienzo y hasta el cuarto chukker, cuando estaban arriba por 7-4. Pero Copperline Farm empez\u00f3 a cambiar la historia en el quinto y pen\u00faltimo chukker, ganando ese parcial por 4-1 para lograr el empate 8-8, con el que iban a entrar a jugar el \u00faltimo chukker. As\u00ed, alentados por ese despegue, Copperline Farm sali\u00f3 con todo a jugar el chukker definitivo; neutralizaron a su rival y marcaron cuatro goles consecutivos que les vali\u00f3 la victoria por 12-8 y el t\u00edtulo.<\/p>\n

En otras finales correspondientes al mismo torneo, Concord Equity Group se qued\u00f3 con la George Haas Cup y Flying H Polo gan\u00f3 la County Line Cup, al vencer a Bientina y a Willow Bend Polo, respectivamente.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

La Iglehart Cup debe su nombre a Philip L.B. Iglehart, quien comenz\u00f3 a jugar al polo siendo muy joven, llegando a 7 goles de handicap, el cual mantuvo por 13 a\u00f1os. Entre sus logros, gan\u00f3 el US Open, en 1953, y fue pionero en Meadowbrook Polo Club, en\u00a0 Medford, New York, y el fundador del Gulfstream Polo Club, en Lake Worth, Florida, que hoy ya no existe. Philip Iglehart ingres\u00f3 al Museum of Polo and Hall of Fame en 1993, y su nombre tambi\u00e9n est\u00e1 incluido para reconocer a aquellos quienes han contruibuido con el polo a lo largo de su vida – el Iglehart Award, que fue instituido en 2001.<\/p>\n

El cuarto y \u00faltimo torneo del Wellington Polo Tout 16-goal NPC Polo Series es la Outback Cup, que se jugar\u00e1 entre el 18 de marzo y el 6 de abril.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n
