La Fe Eastern Hay se impuso a Dutta Corp por 15-11 y se adjudic\u00f3 la Butler Handicap Cup, el primer certamen de la temporada de polo en Palm Beach. La final del certamen, cuya fase clasificatoria se llev\u00f3 a cabo en Port Mayaca Polo Club, durante febrero de 2025, se desarroll\u00f3 el domingo 28 de diciembre<\/strong> en el National Polo Center (NPC), ubicado en Welington, Florida, y cont\u00f3 con la participaci\u00f3n de cuatro equipos de hasta 18 goles de handicap.<\/p>\n

La Butler Handicap Cup fue creada en 1954, en honor a Paul Butler, por su contribuci\u00f3n al polo, que incluyen 29 a\u00f1os como directivo de la United States Polo Assocaition (USPA). La primera edici\u00f3n se jug\u00f3 en Oak Brook, y con los a\u00f1os logr\u00f3 convertirse en uno de los eventos m\u00e1s relevantes del calendario de la USPA. El primer campe\u00f3n de la Butler Handicap CUp fue CCC-Meadow Brook, integrado por Don Beveridge, G.H. \u201cPete\u201d Bostwick, Alan Corey y Harold Barry. Un equipo que ese mismo a\u00f1o tambi\u00e9n gan\u00f3 la Monty Waterbury y el U.S. Open Polo Championship.<\/p>\n

En cuanto al partido, el mismo fue dominado por el equipo de Louis Devaliex desde el primer chukker, cuando sacaron una considerable ventaja de 4-1. Si bien Dutta Corp trataba de acercarse en el marcador, lo cierto es que La Fe Eastern Hay era el que marcaba el camino, en un cotejo que estaba casi definido en el pen\u00faltimo chukker cuando estaban arriba por cuatro goles (12-8). Dutta Corp hizo un \u00faltimo esfuerzo con tres goles en el \u00faltimo chukker, pero La Fe Eastern Hay respondi\u00f3 con otros tres, lo que les vali\u00f3 la victoria por 15-11 y el primer t\u00edtulo de la temporada 2026 en Palm Beach.<\/p>\n
