The Dutta Corp derrot\u00f3 a La Dolfina Scone por 14-9, y se adjudic\u00f3 la CV Whitney Cup, el primer escal\u00f3n de The Gauntlet Of Polo, luego de la final que tuvo lugar el domingo 1 de marzo<\/strong> en lel National Polo Center (NPC), en Wellington, Florida, Estados Unidos. La serie que se disputa en su totalidad en el NPC, se completa con la USPA Gold Cup y el esperad\u00edsimo US Open, el certamen m\u00e1s importante de los Estados Unidos.<\/p>\n

El partido fue todo para Jimmy Dutta y compa\u00f1\u00eda, que arrasaron desde el comienzo, cerrando el primer chukker 3-1 y sacando amplias ventajas hasta llegar a estar 8-3 en el half time. La segunda mitad no tuvo demasiados cambios; The Dutta Corp – con Dylan Rossiter en lugar de Felipe Miguens – pr\u00e1cticamente avasall\u00f3 a La Dolfina Scone, con parciales de 10-4 y 12-8, en el cuarto y quinto chukker, respectivamente, dejando el asunto pr\u00e1cticamente liquidado al momento de jugar el \u00faltimo chukker. As\u00ed, y con un gran despliegue de juego en equipo a lo largo de todo el encuentro, The Dutta Corp gan\u00f3 ese \u00faltimo chukker 2-1, lo que signific\u00f3 el 14-9 final, para llevarse a casa el primer t\u00edtulo de The Gauntlet Of Polo 2026.<\/p>\n

La CV Whitney Cup, originariamente denominada US Handicap Cup, comenz\u00f3 a jugarse en 1979, con handicap en conjunto con el US Open. En 1988 cambi\u00f3 su nombre por CV Whitney Cup, en tributo a Cornelius Vanderbilt Whitney, que lleg\u00f3 a los 6 goles y quien fuera ganador tres veces del US Open (1928, 1937, 1938), y era el hijo del 10 goles y miembro del Hall of Fame Harry Payne Whitney. Su hijo tambi\u00e9n ingreso al Hall of Fame, en 2022, por su legado a lo largo de su carrera, en lo que se denomin\u00f3 la \u00abera dorada\u00bb del polo.<\/em><\/p>\n
