The British Open Gold Cup resumed on Saturday with the quarterfinals at Cowdray Park Polo Club, in West Sussex. Les Lions/Great Oaks became the first winners of the day after defeating Thai Polo NW 11-10 in OT. Next Generation then showed their skill against Scone, claiming a 13-10 win to qualify for the tournament semifinals.
The Indian Empire Shield, which saw seven 18-goal teams compete, came to an end on Saturday at Guards Polo Club. Kildare claimed the title after beating Emlor by 9 goals to 7 on The Queen’s Ground. Prior to the final, MT Vikings defeated Garcha Hotels at Flemish Farm’s Castle Ground to win the Subsidiary. FINAL
The final of the traditional Indian Empire Shield is set to come to an end on Saturday at Guards Polo Club. The competition, which began on June 30th, will see Emlor and Kildare fight for the title. The British Ladies Open Championships, third leg of the Victrix Ludorum Tour, continued with five matches over Monday and Tuesday at Cowdray Park Polo Club. The tournament sees eight 18-goal teams in competition. Only two matches remain in the qualifying stage. Park Place has already qualified for the semifinals.
